Where we can help
Technology roadmaps
Review business goals, existing systems, capacity and budget assumptions. Sequence the decisions that matter now and identify the conditions that should trigger a later review.
Cloud and workplace foundations
Plan email, collaboration, cloud services and administrative access. Identify licensing, account ownership, device and backup prerequisites before setup or configuration work.
Security foundations
Establish priorities for identity, multifactor authentication, access, devices and recovery. Define onboarding, offboarding and the checks that continue after implementation.
Product architecture decisions
Examine hosting, integrations, data flows and constraints for a minimum viable product. Document trade-offs and questions for the product and development teams to validate.
Automation planning
Map a repeatable workflow, its inputs, exceptions and access needs. Define a limited pilot, human approval points and criteria for deciding whether broader automation is useful.
Technology leadership advisory
Support architecture, supplier and investment decisions through a defined advisory engagement. Establish decision rights and responsibilities rather than assume an executive appointment or authority over the business.
THE ENGAGEMENT
From requirements to a documented result
- 01
Identify the next business stage
Establish priorities, current tools, available capacity and the decisions that cannot wait.
- 02
Compare realistic options
Examine architecture, access, costs, dependencies and responsibility for each option.
- 03
Deliver the selected foundations
Coordinate the setup or improvement work included in the proposal and validate the result.
- 04
Leave a usable roadmap
Document ownership, operating tasks and the decisions to revisit as the business changes.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Practical deliverables
The proposal identifies the outputs, systems and validation activities included in your engagement.
- Phased technology roadmap with priorities, dependencies and review points.
- Architecture and configuration decisions for the foundations being established.
- Account, administrative access and operational ownership records.
- Advisory or handover plan describing responsibilities and outstanding decisions.
ENGAGEMENT CONTEXT
Apply enterprise disciplines at a proportionate scale.
Architecture, access ownership and recovery planning are useful before an environment becomes complex. The engagement should address the next business stage without assuming a full enterprise platform or a permanent executive role is required.
YOUR QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Can we begin with a planning engagement?
A roadmap or architecture review can be proposed separately from implementation. The proposal should identify the decisions, information and outputs needed before any configuration work begins.
Does advisory support mean appointing a fractional CTO?
An advisory engagement does not itself appoint an executive or transfer decision authority. Any ongoing leadership role requires separately defined responsibilities, availability and contractual terms.
Who owns the accounts and subscriptions?
Account ownership, billing, administrative access and handover responsibilities should be established at the start. Your business needs a documented way to retain control of the services it relies on.
Are licenses and ongoing cloud costs included?
Professional services, subscriptions, cloud consumption and ongoing support are separate cost categories unless the proposal explicitly combines them. Required features and operating costs should be checked before a platform is selected.
